The Entertainment District around AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field and Texas Live! has the newest mid-rises, many with stadium views. Communities along Collins Street and Division Street are within a 10-minute walk of game-day action, while Viridian to the north is a 10-minute drive with lakes and trails.
Arlington runs 15-25% below Dallas for comparable apartments. Most one-bedrooms land $1,050-$1,450, two-bedrooms $1,300-$1,800. New Entertainment District and Viridian construction tops out around $2,000-$2,400. It is one of the best values for space in the metro.
Arlington uses Via on-demand rideshare instead of a traditional bus system, and the TRE commuter rail stops at CentrePort on the north edge with a shuttle. UTA runs its own shuttles around campus and downtown. Realistically most Arlington renters keep a car, but the Via service covers the whole city for a few dollars a ride.
Arlington sits between both downtowns. Fort Worth is 15-20 miles, about 25-30 minutes on I-30. Downtown Dallas is 20 miles, 30-45 minutes on I-30 depending on traffic. Living north near I-30 or the CentrePort TRE station keeps both commutes shortest.
